Tenants of nearby apartment blocks allowed to return
Mayor Eddie Francis has lifted the state of emergency in Windsor. Following a thorough search with sniffing dogs, no one was found injured or trapped in the parking garage that collapsed on Thursday. The structure is continuing to crumble in its unsecured state. And the area remains cordoned off. Also, 25 residents and two pets in the Ambassador apartment block next door to the sunken parking garage are being allowed to return to their units. Tenants of an office building at 1368 Ouellette will be allowed to return with some conditions after experts checked to make sure the building is safe.
